Patricia Shelton, MD

Dr. Patricia Shelton, MD, is a full-time medical communicator and educator. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, both from the renowned University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Shelton is dedicated to empowering people with the information they need to improve their health and well-being. In addition to her work as a medical writer and reviewer, Dr. Shelton also teaches anatomy and physiology at the college level, and is the author of the book The Yoga Doctor. 
As a woman in her 40s, Dr. Shelton has a strong personal interest in the topic of perimenopause. Having watched many women experience this transition in her medical training, she’s now experiencing what it’s like firsthand. With her medical knowledge coupled with her strong interest in diverse treatment options, she hopes to help make perimenopause a beautiful phase of life for herself as well as for other women.
